7 morning habits to change your life

In today's blog post we would like to share with you 7-morning habits that can change your life for the better. The first 15 minutes after waking up are the most important ones. It is important to have a mindful morning routine to make sure you start your day on a happy note. Did you know that most of the successful people all have a morning routine? And no, their does not include pressing the snooze button for two hours in the morning and checking Instagram and Facebook feed the first thing after opening their eyes :)

Number one is, you guessed it, no snooze button! Choose a time to wake up, set your alarm and tell yourself that snooze button is not an option and stick to your word. You can also use the 5-second rule method invented by Mel Robbins and count down from 5 to 0 once the alarm starts and when you reach 0 you have to jump out of your bed. Number two is stretching as this has several health benefits, including muscle and joint flexibility, stress relief, and better circulation. Number three is water. I like to imagine in the morning that my body is a plant and I need to water it. About 60% of your body is made of water, and after sleeping for 8 hours without it your body really needs it! Number four is a healthy breakfast that kick-starts your metabolism, helping you burn the calories throughout the day. There is a lot of healthy benefits to eating a healthy meal in the morning. Number five is meditation for at least 10 minutes in the morning. Headspace is an amazing free phone app that you can use to meditate. After 10 minutes of meditation, everyone should practice gratitude for another five to ten minutes. There are so many things in our lives to be grateful for; we just need to take a minute and see how wonderful our lives are! Last but not least, we recommend reading in the morning. Turn off your phone notifications and take a few minutes to read something positive and soak your mind in words.
